〔Abstract〕 Chronic heart failure is a difficult disease of the heart system. Professor Yao Peiyu, who has been in the clinic for more than 40 years, has rich experience in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. She discusses the traditional Chinese medical (TCM) diagnosis and treatment mode of chronic heart failure from the classical theory of TCM "vacuity and exhaustion and dry blood", and concludes that the disease is mixed with deficiency and excess, with vacuity as the basis and reality as the standard, the disease is "deficiency", "stasis" and "heat", and the pathogenesis is "dry blood formation". In order to improve the quality of life of patients, the treatment should be based on the principle of "moderate tonifying deficiency" and "moistening collaterals and blood, worms moving their stasis, clearing heat and preventing degeneration".
