Coagulation function, pain level, incidence of limb swelling, and deep vein ultrasound results were compared between the two groups. Results A total of 60 patients who underwent deep vein catheterization at Nanning Second People’s Hospital from July 2022 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing care after catheterization, while patients in the observation group were additionally treated with TCM acupoint application combined with acupuncture. Coagulation function, pain level, incidence of limb swelling, and deep vein ultrasound results were compared between the two groups. Conclusion The application of TCM acupoint application combined with acupuncture after deep vein catheterization can improve patients’ coagulation function, reduce limb swelling and pain level, and effectively prevent the occurrence of deep vein thrombosis.
