〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the application value of pharmaceutical care in the management of western medicine prescription. Methods 100 western medicine prescriptions from the Second Affiliated Hospital of University of South China from February 2021 to February 2022 were selected as a control group for routine prescription management; 100 western medicine prescriptions from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as an observation group to receive pharmaceutical care management. Compare the unreasonable prescription of western medicine in the two groups. Results The unreasonable prescription rate in the observation group was 2.00 %, lower than 27.00 % in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of pharmaceutical care in the prescription management of western medicine, which can reduce the unreasonable prescription.
