〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the rule of acupoint selection in the treatment of external fever by pricking collaterals and letting blood based on data mining. Methods From July 2019 to December 2019, Excel 2019 was used to establish the data warehouse model of pricking bloodletting therapy. Then, the literature on pricking bloodletting therapy in the treatment of external fever was downloaded and screened, as well as the required information was input. Data mining was performed with the help of the established pricking bloodletting database platform. Results A total of 63 journal papers were included in the treatment of external fever with needling blood-letting therapy, among which needling blood-letting acupuncture with three-edge needle was the most frequently used, and needling with needling blood-letting was the most frequently used. The study of pricking collars and bloodletting treatment without cupping accounted for 80 %; There were 46 cases, accounting for 73 %, of which cupping therapy was the most frequently used. Conclusion Trigonal acupuncture and bloodletting therapy is the main treatment for external fever, and some studies are often combined with other therapies to significantly improve the therapeutic effect, but the clinical application of cupping therapy is less.
