Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the clinical effect of traditional Chinese mdicine (TCM) acupoint application combined with montelukast sodium in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma. Methods 90 childrens with bronchial asthma admitted to Henan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2019 to February 2022 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group with 45 cases in each group by envelope method. Children in the control group were treated with montelukast sodium, and children in the observation group were treated with TCM acupoint application on the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in first second (FEV1) and peak expiratory flow rate (PEF) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), immunoglobulin E (IgE) and procalcitonin (PCT) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of daytime and nighttime asthma symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion For children with bronchial asthma, TCM acupuncture point application combined with montelukast sodium can effectively improve the therapeutic effect, significantly improve the symptoms of asthma, and improve the serological indexes.
