Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To study the application value and specific methods of warm acupuncture in the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome. Methods A total of 80 patients with temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome admitted to Zhangpu County Hospital from November 1, 2021 to February 1, 2022 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group according to the number, with 40 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine, and patients in the observation group were treated with warm acupuncture on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were observed, including temporomandibular joint function, quality of life, pain score, and total effective rate of treatment. Results After treatment, the temporomandibular joint function scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was 100.00 %, higher than 85.00 % of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Warm acupuncture has high efficiency, can effectively improve temporomandibular joint function, inhibit pain, and promote the quality of life.
