〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the application effect of AH-PLUS paste combined with gum tip one-time root canal filling in patients with chronic pulpitis (CP). Methods A total of 60 patients with CP admitted to Quanzhou Quangang District Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with AH-PLUS paste, while the control group was treated with zinc oxide clove oil paste. The excellent and good filling rate, recurrence, visual analogue scale (VAS) score before treatment and 7 days after treatment, and periodontal health [probing depth (PD), plaque index (PLI), gingival index (GI), bleeding index (BI)] were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good filling rate of the observation group was 93.33%, higher than 70.00% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After 7 days of treatment, the VAS score of the affected teeth of the two groups was improved compared with that before treatment, and the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After 7 days of treatment, the BI, GI, PLI and PD of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the BI, GI, PLI and PD in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion AH-PLUS paste combined with gum tip one-time root canal treatment can improve the excellent filling rate of CP treatment, relieve the pain of patients, promote periodontal tissue repair, and reduce the risk of recurrence.
