Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To investigate the clinical effect of needling in Ren and Du meridians on spinal cord injury. Methods 40 patients with spinal cord injury admitted to Kaiping Central Hospital from April 2019 to June 2021 were randomly divided into control group (20 cases, routine acupuncture plus rehabilitation training) and observation group (20 cases, needling in Ren and Du meridians plus rehabilitation training). The motor, sensory and daily living activities of patients were compared before treatment, 1 month and 2 months after treatment, using American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) motor scale, ASIA sensory scale and functional independence measure (FIM) score. Results There was no significant difference in ASIA motor scale, ASIA sensory scale and FIM score between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After 1 month and 2 months of treatment, the scores of ASIA motor scale, ASIA sensory scale and FIM in the two groups were significantly increased compared with before treatment, and the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at the same time, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of spinal cord injury, the application of needling in Ren and Du meridians can obtain good clinical effect, and the patients' ability of movement, sensation and daily living activities has been improved.
