Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Based on the theory of "chaotic qi" in The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, this paper discusses the idea of the diagnosis and treatment of refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (RGRED). The key pathogenesis of RGRED is inversion of qi, stomach disharmony, which is closely related to the liver qi stagnation, the loss of dispersal lung qi, and the inability of spleen qi to rise. Treatment should focus on regulating qi and removing turbidity in the stomach. Specifically, the treatment is based on three aspects, soothing the liver, dispersing the lung, and raising the spleen. In the end, the stomach qi drops and qi movement is smooth.
