Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore and analyze the clinical value of self-made yangyuan jieyu decoction combined with paroxetine in the treatment of patients with postpartum depression. Methods A total of 100 patients with postpartum depression patients admitted to People's Hospital of Zhengzhou from January 2018 to February 2020 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with paroxetine, and patients in the observation group were treated with self-made yangyuan jieyu decoction combined with paroxetine. Before and after treatment, the anxiety and depression were evaluated by the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and depression self-rating scale (SDS), which were expressed by SAS score and SDS score. The levels of hormone [estradiol (E2), progesterone (P)], serum homocysteine (Hcy), and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) were detected, and the changes of the results were statistically compared. Results After treatment, SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, E2 and 5-HT in the observation group were higher than those of the control group, P and Hcy were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the level of BDNF in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with postpartum depression, the self-made yangyuan jieyu decoction combined with paroxetine can effectively improve the serum hormone level and psychological status of patients.
