〔Abstract〕 Objective To observe the efficacy of self-made knee arthritis fumigation and washing recipe in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods From May 2017 to January 2019, 90 cases of knee osteoarthritis admitted to the Orthopedics Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Zhuzhou City were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 45 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with sodium hyaluronate intra-articular injection combined with selfmade knee arthritis fumigation and washing prescription, and the control group was only given sodium hyaluronate intra-articular injection for 5 weeks. After the treatment, the improvement of symptoms and signs scores and clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients were observed. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of symptoms and signs between the two groups of patients (P > 0.05); after treatment, the scores of symptoms and signs in the observation group and the control group were significantly lower than before treatment, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%, which was significantly higher than 51.11% of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis, intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate combined with self-made knee arthritis fumigation and washing prescription has a better therapeutic effect.
