Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the application of emotional management therapy in patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods 60 patients with chronic schizophrenia who were treated at the Third People's Hospital of Foshan City from September 2020 to February 2021 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional work and entertainment treatment + medication intervention, and the observation group received conventional work and entertainment treatment + medication + emotional management intervention. The two groups were compared with the brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS), personal and social function scale (PSP), ability of daily living scale (ADL) score. Results After 3 months and 6 months of treatment, the BPRS scores of the two groups of patients decreased, and the BPRS scores of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group in the same period, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); After 3 months, 6 months of treatment, the PSP score of the observation group increased and the ADL score decreased, and the PSP and ADL scores of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group during the same period. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion When emotion management therapy is applied to patients with chronic schizophrenia, and the daily living ability of the patients can be effectively improved, and the social function of the patients has been significantly improved.
