Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of staging percutaneous nephrolithotripsy for complicated upper urinary calculi with infection. Methods 70 cases of complicated urinary stones with infection patients was selected as the research object from Xinyi People's Hospital from March 2020 to September 2020. According to the treatment methods, all patients divided into A group (34 cases, 1 period of treatment) and B group (36 cases, staging treatment). The calculi clearance rate and incidence of complications in two groups were compared. Results The stone clearance rate in B group was 97.22% (35/36), higher than 76.47% (26/34) in A group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The mean intraoperative bleeding time of B group was (62.12 ± 6.32) min, was shorter than (140.62 ± 18.62) min of A group , and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in B group was lower than that in A group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Staging percutaneous nephrolithotomy can improve the stone clearance rate and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications in patients with complicated upper urinary calculi associated with infection.
