Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To investigate the clinical effect of progesterone capsule in the treatment of amenorrhea and ovulatory dysfunctional abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB–O). Methods 84 patients with amenorrhea and AUB-O treated in Puning People's Hospital from June 2019 to may 2020 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into two groups using randomized digital table method, with 42 cases in the control group and 42 cases in the observation group. Both groups were treated with estradiol valerate, while the control group was treated with medroxyprogesterone acetate ,and the observation group was treated with progesterone. The effects of treatment, the changes of menstrual cycle, menstrual period and the score of pictorial blood loss assessment chart (PBAC) before and after treatment, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (95.24% vs 71.43%), (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in menstrual cycle, menstrual period and PBAC score between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the menstrual cycle, menstrual period and PBAC scores of amenorrhea patients in the two groups increased significantly, and the menstrual cycle, menstrual period and PBAC scores of AUB-O patients in the two groups decreased significantly, and the indexes of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group (P < 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (7.14% vs 23.81%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion Progesterone capsule for amenorrhea and AUB-O can improve menstrual status, significantly improve the clinical efficacy and safety.
