〔Abstract〕 Objective To observe the clinical effect of fire needle combined with Wuwei Xiaodu drink wet compress in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods 76 patients with acne vulgaris who were treated in the Civil Aviation District of Guangdong Second People’s Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with modified Wuwei Xiaodu drink wet compress, and the observation group was treated with fire needle combined with modified Wuwei Xiaodu drink wet compress. The curative effects of the two groups were evaluated after 4 weeks. Results After treatment, the number of skin lesions and the acne comprehensive grading system score (GAGS) of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the classification of the two groups of patients (P > 0.05); after treatment, the condition of patients in the observation group was lighter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ 2 = 9.4, P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was 97.37%, which was significantly higher than 76.32% in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Fire needle combined with modified Wuwei Xiaodu drink wet compress is effective in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
