Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the effect of Qingre Huatan and Pingchuan Xuanfei prescription combined with conventional western medicine on pulmonary ventilation function and immune function of children with bronchial asthma. Methods 92 cases of children with bronchial asthma were randomly selected from the first affiliated hospital of Xinxiang medical college from December 2017 to December 2018. With average by double-blind method, all children were divided into observation group (46 cases, using Qingre Huatan and Pingchuan Xuanfei prescription combined with conventional Western medicine) and control group (46 cases, using conventional western medicine therapy). The immune function and lung ventilation function were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in forced expiratory volume (FEV1) and maximum expiratory flow (PEF) between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, FEV1 and PEF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in immunoglobulin E (IgE), CD4+ and CD8+ between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, the IgE, CD4+ and CD8+ levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of Qingre Huatan and Pingchuan Xuanfei prescription combined with conventional Western medicine for children with bronchial asthma, can effectively improve the immune function of children and enhance their lung ventilation function, which is a treatment with high practical application value.
