〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the effect of self-proposed Yiqi Qiangxin Decoction on chronic heart failure and evaluate its impact on cardiac function. Methods 100 patients with chronic heart failure treated in Guangdong Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to December 2020 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with self-made Yiqi Qiangxin Decoction on the basis of the control group. The treatment effects, clinical symptom scores before and after treatment and cardiac function parameters before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%, which was higher than 80.00% of the control group (P < 0.05); There was no significant difference in the scores of clinical symptoms between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05); There was no significant difference in stroke volume(SV), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD) between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, the SV and LVEF of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the LVEDD was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion the treatment of chronic heart failure with self-made Yiqi Qiangxin Decoction can improve cardiac function, improve clinical symptom score and cardiac function parameters.
