Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine therapy on children's asthma attack (wind phlegm asthma syndrome). Methods 76 children with asthma attack (wind phlegm asthma syndrome) treated in Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected. They were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 38 cases each. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the observation group was treated with Qingfei Huatan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine. The total effective rate, the disappearance time of clinical symptoms and the changes of pulmonary function before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.37%, which was higher than 84.21% of the control group (P < 0.05). The disappearance time of cough, wheezing, dyspnea and wheezing subsided in the observation group were shorter than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the forced expiratory volume in first second (FEV1) and forced vital capacity (FVC) of the observation group were better than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Qingfei Huatan Decoction combined with western medicine has a significant effect in the treatment of children with asthma attack, which can shorten the course of treatment and effectively improve children's lung function.
