Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of small incision appendectomy in the treatment of acute appendicitis. Methods 66 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to the Guxing Town Health Center in Huiji District, Zhengzhou City from October 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the research subjects. According to the two-color ball randomized grouping method. The patients were divided into a control group (33 cases: traditional appendectomy) and an observation group (33 cases: small incision appendectomy) to compare the treatment effects of the two groups. Results The levels of related inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 72 h after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The observation group's first exhaust time and postoperative first defecation time were earlier than those of the control group, and the average hospital stay was shorter than that of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (3.03%) was lower than that in the control group (21.21%), and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of small incision appendectomy for patients with acute appendicitis is significantly better than that of traditional appendectomy.
