Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To study the effect of hypotonic oral rehydration salt on acute diarrhea in children. Methods From September 2018 to September 2019, 90 children with acute diarrhea who were treated in Zhoulai Yongshan Hospital in Fugou County were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given standard oral rehydration salt, and the observation group was given hypotonic oral rehydration salt. The difference in curative effect between the two groups was observed. Results The diarrhea symptom relief time and stool forming time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group, the number of vomiting within 3 days and the number of defecation within 3 days after treatment were significantly less than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant. (P < 0.05); The total effective rate of treatment for children in the observation group was 97.78%, which was higher than that fo the control group (80.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The hypotonic oral rehydration salt has a relatively accurate effect in the treatment of children with acute diarrhea, and can promote the early relief of diarrhea symptoms in children.
