Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the effect of surgical eruption combined with orthodontic treatment for impacted upper anterior teeth. Methods A study was carried out on 78 patients with impacted upper anterior teeth who were treated in Changsha Stomatological Hospital from May 2019 to May 2020. They were divided into observation groups (39 cases) and a double-blind method. Control group (39 cases). The patients treated with surgical eruption were used as the control group, and the patients treated with orthodontic treatment were used as the observation group. The total effective rate of treatment and the occurrence of adverse reactions of the two groups of patients were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 94.87%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group, which was 74.36%. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the observation group suffered from gingival inflammation, dentition disorder, and gingival swelling. The reaction rate was 7.69%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group of 28.21%, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion When treating patients with impacted upper anterior teeth, the use of orthodontic treatment can improve the total effective rate of treatment and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
